Dance Force United values the importance as to how your personal information including your dependant’s, may be used and shared and is committed and legally obliged to protect your Personal Information in line with the current legislations concerning the protection of Personal Information as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulations, this includes any personal information provided by you to us via various correspondence whether it be via website, application forms – online or written forms, e-mails, telephonic communication and/or letters. Your certitude in us to do so in a careful and sensible manner is appreciated.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This privacy policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use and Terms and Conditions. While using our Service and in the participation or signing up to any of Dance Force United classes, workshops, activities, or social events whether via numerous sources i.e., website/online applications forms, sign-up/trial, examination forms and/or competition forms, e-mail, telephonic communication, enquiries, or purchased services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that may be stored, and that can be used to contact or identify you.

Personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") pending your level of engagement with us may include, but is not limited to:

    By the submitting your details, you enable us to provide you with the products and/or services that you have selected or purchased.

Using your Personal Information.

Personal Information about our clientele is an imperative part of our business and we shall only use your Personal Information for the following purposes and shall not keep such Personal Information longer than necessary to fulfil these purposes:

  • To help us to identify you and/or your child when you contact us.

  • We may check your details with fraud prevention agencies. If you provide false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.

Squarespace are contractually obliged to treat any information of our website as confidential and only use such information for the purpose of providing Dance Force United with web hosting. We use a third-party service called Dancestudio-Pro software to store your information which is used for administrative purposes such as parent portal accounts, timetables, registers, e-mailing and invoicing customers. Dance Force United does not share any clientele’s Personal Information with our uniform suppliers, however, they may require Personal Information to fulfil the service on our behalf. Dance Force United offers two forms of payment-processing, as such please consider each financial service’s Privacy and Security Policies to ensure your preferred payment option.

Dancestudio-Pro

We use a third-party service called Dancestudio-Pro which is software to store your information which is used for administrative purposes such as parent portal accounts, timetables, registers, e-mailing and invoicing customers. As and when we need to use your personal information for in reasons other than the ones specified above, we will ensure to notify you first. You will be given the opportunity to withhold or withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information for purposes other than those listed above.

Protecting Information.

Information about our clientele is kept for the period considered necessary to deliver the required services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage, and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your passwords and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

Chidren’s Privacy.

Children under the age of 18 must provide an application form (online or written form), with permission from a parent(s) and/or guardian(s). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information without the consent of a parent(s) and/or guardian(s), we will delete such information from our servers immediately unless after the discovery you consent to the storing and use of their information and have provided us in writing with such permission.

The Internet/Security.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, however, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If you communicate with us using the internet, we may occasionally email you about our services, products, and news. We offer an opt-in option for all e-mail campaigns via our website or where you have been subscribed to an e-mail list via other communications an ‘unsubscribe link’ is available at the bottom of each of our e-mail campaigns. Please remember as previously stated any communications over the internet, such as emails and webmail’s (messages sent through a website), are not secure unless they have been encrypted. Your communications may go through a number of countries before they are delivered – this is the nature of the internet. We cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of Personal Data that is beyond our control.

Photography and Videography.

Dance Force United reserves the right and is permitted to use any photography and/or videography and any reproductions or adaptations of the images of DFU students and friends taken during dance classes and/or events, workshops, intensives, competitions, charities etc. upon registration and by the acceptance of our Terms and Conditions for the purpose of social media, fundraising, advertising and/or promotional material and/or publicity. This might include but is not limited to; the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases. You can change your mind at any point and an op-out option for photography and videography is available via the Dancestudio-Pro parent portal.

Photography and filming is permitted only by Dance Force United faculty or an external company holding a DBS and with the consent of the parents and Artistic Director of Dance Force United. The filming and photography of the Dance Force United annual concert is carried out by an external company whose videographers all hold a valid DBS of which the company have their own GDPR and privacy policies in place.

Closure/Deleting of your Account.

After the required notice period has been given, you may close your account with us at any time by emailing us at info@danceforceuk.co.uk

If you choose to close your account, you will no longer be considered a client or student of Dance Force United and will no longer be able to attend classes with us. We will delete the personal data associated with your account within a reasonable period, other than personal data which we need to retain for our internal business records for example, data related to purchasing history.

Compliancy with Laws.

We will disclose your Personal Information to governmental agencies or entities, regulatory authorities, or other persons where required to do so by law or subpoena.

You have the right to access the information which Dance Force United holds about you and your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. We reserve the right to ask you to prove that you have authentic rights to access/amend this data prior to making any changes.

We aim to keep the Personal Data we hold about you accurate and up to date. If you tell us that we are holding any inaccurate Personal Data about you, we will delete it or correct it promptly.
